Chalo Kashmir is a collection of different works, which dwell into the problematics of Kashmir, which is caught in an unending conflict. Chalo kashmir itself is a tagline used for touristic promotions by state. It has been used by the department of tourisms to promote tourism in the region. The projection of Kashmir as an exotic in the touristic imagination coupled with the nationalistic imagination has turned it into a territory of desire. This projection in itself negates the trauma, sufferings and the brutalities of occupation on the natives. The collection of works attempt to bring forth its enormity and extent.
Trace / Untrace is a collection of digitally drawn maps and collection of Goolge maps with the embroidery patterns. It traces the changes in the landscape and attempts to unearth the brutalities of memory
and time.
Last Conversations is a collection of found audios of actual last conversations of people with their family members from the sites of encounters.
