The installation, Last Call, draws inspiration from a deeply unsettling yet powerful collection of audio recordings – the final conversations of individuals from Kashmir, moments before they were killed in violent confrontations. These were not ordinary calls. They were the last words spoken in moments of profound vulnerability, as those facing death reached out to their families, unaware of how their lives would soon be silenced.

By reinterpreting these tragic final communications through the lens of a performative installation, Last Conversations transforms the act of a “last call” into an intimate, yet hauntingly universal experience that forces us to confront our own mortality and the fleeting nature of human connection.
